Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance on trucks and trailers to identify and address mechanical issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in trucks and trailers.

  • Complete scheduled maintenance and keep accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Safety departments to prioritize and address maintenance needs to minimize downtime.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests and provide roadside assistance when necessary.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in truck and trailer maintenance.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and supplies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanic in the trucking or automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other truck components.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy equipment and tools.
