Responsibilities:

  • Verifying previous employment and driver applications
  • Conducting inspections to ensure driver qualifications, company equipment, and contractor’s vehicles meet safety standards
  • Monitoring logbooks, promptly addressing issues, and providing retraining when necessary
  • Distributing important documents to our dedicated drivers
  • Managing initial emergency response for minor claims and accidents
  • Processing crucial information including driver details, units, trailers, and accounts
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with all drivers
  • Monitoring fleet speed and responding accordingly to ensure a safe network
  • Keeping a close eye on weather conditions and providing alerts when needed
  • Handling DOT inspections with utmost professionalism
  • Following accident procedures in the event of serious or recordable accidents
  • Managing permits, registrations, and insurance
  • Processing IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) efficiently
  • Adjusting claims
  • And of course, tackling other duties as assigned by our management team

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of working experience in the trucking industry, with a preference for previous safety experience
  • Either a college education or high school diploma combined with applicable experience
  • Exceptional decision-making abilities and judgment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills – we want someone who truly cares about our drivers, not just a robotic approach
  • Experience collaborating with outside agencies such as State DOT agencies, local government, and law enforcement
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT and other related agency regulations
  • A strong understanding of key safety principles within the transportation industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) as well as internet usage
